Bead Beach

Stretching over an expanse of 1.6kms, the level surface of the golden sands are perfect for playing a variety of ball games, such as beach cricket, rugby or soccer, as well as providing the ideal conditions for jogging or strolling, kite-flying, building sand-castles, collecting shells or just general beach-combing. The beach is also ideal for swimming and fishing, surfing and body-surfing, horse-riding, or simply just walking your dog. A little further along the beach, the dunes are perfectly suited for the fun of sandboarding. (During the peak December season, the beach is protected by lifeguards and once a year, between Christmas and New Year, a touch rugby and cricket tournament is held).
